How to get ZTM for FREE!

Here at Zero To Mastery, we’re all about helping you learn to code so that you can get hired ASAP and change your life.

The thing is, information on its own is not enough, because if you really want to succeed, you need a few other things in place to make it happen. With that in mind, we’ve been building multiple features to help you achieve this.

We have:

Then we took it one step further…

We decided that the best way to get you to log in and do the work is to wave an extra carrot at the end. A little added incentive other than just learning a skill and getting that 6-figure salary.

The reward?

Free access to all our ZTM training, now and for the rest of your life!

Here’s how this works:

  • Join ZTM as a member

  • Every time you log into the course dashboard and complete a lesson, it’s tracked on your progress bar

  • Then, if you complete ONE lesson every month for 30 months, you get free lifetime access!

Pretty cool, right, because you’re being rewarded for doing the thing that will help you learn. (And as far as I’m aware, no other platform offers anything like this).

But what's really cool is that we just started getting our first members to achieve this:

I decided I would reach out to each of them and ask a few questions to celebrate this milestone, see how this process has impacted them, and their thoughts on this challenge.

I couldn’t include all 35 people who achieved this, as this post would be huge, but here are a few of their replies.

Even teachers come to ZTM to learn

Who are you and what do you do?

Hi, my name is Wahidul Alam Riyad, and I’ve been working as a Lecturer at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) since Feb 2025. Before that, I worked as a Data Scientist at the University of Greenwich in the UK, where I had also completed my Master's in Data Science.

My main goal is to learn something new every day and to keep moving forward in my career.

At AIUB I teach a range of courses, from AI and Machine Learning through to Software Engineering. My dream right now is to get into a top PhD programme and, further down the line, to join the MANGOS (Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI, and SpaceX) Lab.

You just unlocked the ZTM free lifetime access. What are your thoughts on this offer?

I think it's a brilliant offer. With most platforms, the longer you stay, the more it ends up costing you, and ZTM has done the opposite by handing over everything for free just for being consistent. To me, that says a lot about where their priorities are. ZTM seems to care whether people keep learning, not just whether they keep paying.

Since I both learn and teach every day, a resource that keeps getting updated and that I can keep coming back to is worth far more to me than any one-off course!

Lifetime access also takes away that nagging feeling of needing to rush through a course before the subscription runs out, which is usually what makes people skim rather than properly take things in. But now I can go back to a topic whenever a project or one of my classes calls for it, treat the academy as a long-term reference, and look into courses outside my own field without worrying that I'm wasting money.

Part of the program is logging in frequently and completing lessons. Was this something you were already doing before, or something you did for this reward?

A bit of both, though it was mostly already part of my routine. Coming from a data science background and now teaching, I don't really have the option to stop learning. The tools and best practices change so quickly that I already set aside time most days to study.

What the reward did was add a bit of structure and accountability on top of that.

Knowing my consistency was being noticed pushed me to log in every day rather than in scattered bursts here and there. So I wasn't doing it purely for the reward, but it definitely reinforced a habit I was already trying to keep, and it made the lower-motivation days a lot easier to get through.

Have you noticed any particular change in your skills and progress since logging in more frequently?

Definitely. The biggest change for me isn't really the new material itself. It's how much quicker I pick things up now. Studying a little every day keeps everything fresh, so when I jump to a harder topic, I'm not wasting the first half of the session trying to remember what I'd already forgotten.

It also compounds in a nice way. Ideas from one course start linking up with another, and I notice the same patterns showing up across different tools and languages instead of seeing each one as its own separate thing. Short, regular sessions have done far more for my memory than the long cramming sessions I used to rely on.

In practice, I'm noticeably faster now at prototyping, debugging, and turning an idea into working code.

How has this regular learning affected your career?

It's helped both sides of my work, the teaching and the technical side.

As a lecturer, keeping up to date means I can bring current tools, examples, and industry practices into my classes instead of relying on textbooks that are often a few years out of date, so my students get something closer to what's used in industry day to day. The way ZTM lays out its courses has even shaped how I structure and teach my own.

While on the technical side, learning consistently kept my data science and programming skills sharp during my move from working as a Data Scientist in the UK to teaching back in Bangladesh, which is exactly the kind of transition where skills can start to slip.

Most of all, it's given me the confidence to take on a much wider range of topics and to keep growing instead of getting stuck in one role.

Would you recommend that other members try to hit this goal also?

Yes, I'd recommend it to anyone, and not just for the free access at the end, nice as that is. The bigger win is the habit you build along the way. Having to log in every day slowly gets you into a steady rhythm of learning, and that rhythm does far more for your skills than any single course ever could.

My advice would be to forget about the reward and just focus on showing up each day, even if it's only for one short lesson. Do that, and you'll come out the other side with a habit that's well worth having, and the lifetime access almost takes care of itself.

If you're serious about growing in tech over the long run, it's about the easiest goal you could pick to chase.

ZTM helped him restart his career!

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Marc, and I’m a Web Developer

You just unlocked the ZTM free lifetime access. What are your thoughts on this offer?

I'm really excited to have unlocked the lifetime membership. This was something I was working towards for over 2 years.

Part of the program is logging in frequently and completing lessons. Was this something you were already doing before, or something you did for this reward?

I always have a ZTM tab open on my browser, as I often refer to past lessons when I need to reference something. So it was a pretty natural habit to get used to.

Have you noticed any particular change in your skills and progress since logging in more frequently?

I think in the long term, the discipline of completing ZTM courses has helped me reach my goals.

Logging in once a month to earn lifetime access was more of an added bonus since I already use ZTM regularly. It was more of a long-term goal, and I'm glad to have achieved it!

After a while, it really becomes a habit. Something you make part of your day. And you slowly work towards completing a course, which in the end only helps you gain more skills and become more valuable.

How has this regular learning affected your career?

It helped me restart my career and get a job in tech!

Would you recommend that other members try to hit this goal also?

Absolutely. I have been using ZTM since the very first web developer course. This is beyond valuable! Thanks for everything ZTM!

ZTM helped her get back to work after parenting

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Maria, and I’m a programmer and an enthusiastic gardener. I just got back to work after 2 years of full-time parenting.

You just unlocked the ZTM free lifetime access. What are your thoughts on this offer?

It’s really nice to have. I have had my account on this platform for some years already, and wasn’t going to cancel anytime soon. But this feels like a reward and a great investment in my future.

Part of the program is logging in frequently and completing lessons. Was this something you were already doing before, or something you did for this reward?

Since I am a self-taught programmer, I really tried to log in daily and do even the smallest of videos. Especially during my maternity leave, because it helped me stay consistent and in the loop.

Have you noticed any particular change in your skills and progress since logging in more frequently?

Well, I am now a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner (big thanks Amber). I also fell in love with TypeScript, got better in Linux environments and Python, and I am currently polishing my prompting skills

Some days are better, and I have more time to study; some days are busier, and I can’t get much done.

But I know myself, and I need consistency to learn, so aiming to log in daily forces me to prioritize investing time in my professional journey and not get distracted by daily activities.

How has this regular learning affected your career?

Unfortunately, the project I got on my return to work has nothing to do with what I learned, but I am preparing for the future!

Would you recommend that other members try to hit this goal also?

Yes!

If you show up daily, eventually it will make a difference. Don’t do it just for the prize, do it for yourself.

ZTM helped him get hired!

Who are you and what do you do?

Hi, my name is Aleksander, I’m 39 years old, and I’m a backend developer from Poland.

I've been working for a mid-sized company full-time remotely since 2021, and this is my first job, because before that, I was mainly freelancing.

You just unlocked the ZTM free lifetime access. What are your thoughts on this offer?

This is an incredible offer!

I’ve been part of ZTM since it was just released in February 2020. Since then, month by month, year by year, I have been learning various developer courses on this platform.

Part of the program is logging in frequently and completing lessons. Was this something you were already doing before, or something you did for this reward?

I really like this idea of strikes and regular logging in. I had some prior experience doing a daily habit like this when I was learning Spanish or playing Chess, so I knew this would help.

With that in mind, I tried to do the same with ZTM, and it really helped me to finish many videos, since many of them are not very long (like 5-10 minutes). I added a recurring reminder to my to-do list program and just kept trying to complete at least one lesson a day when possible.

I didn’t do that for a reward, just for myself, because a habit really helps you to learn new things. And even after getting that reward, I didn’t change my habit of learning regularly, step by step!

Have you noticed any particular change in your skills and progress since logging in more frequently?

Definitely! Since I am a backend developer, ZTM helped me increase my experience in my weak spot of frontend development.

I wanted to learn this because it's essential nowadays to understand how it works and how to communicate with frontend developers better, even if I rarely directly write frontend code. I also took some technical courses like SQL, PHP, AWS, Linux, and more. All of these directly helped me grow a lot in my career.

However, even those “life skills” courses helped me mentally to change my approach to my everyday life. I really like that ZTM in these courses deeply understands the developer’s mindset.

How has this regular learning affected your career?

It helped me get my first official job and do well at it!

For example

I like that ZTM focuses on helping you get hired fast, because as you often say, you’ll pick up a lot of the ‘extra’ stuff for your role during the job. So the trick is to get there faster and have the core of what you need to get hired first, rather than try to learn everything before you start.

However, because of this focus and foundation, I found that there were many situations where I could clearly solve a problem or propose a solution, mainly using the knowledge I’ve got at ZTM.

Would you recommend that other members try to hit this goal also?

Yes!

The most important thing is to make a ritual or a small habit. Even a 3–5-minute lesson a day while drinking a cup of coffee is better than nothing. It might be a bit difficult at the beginning, but after like a month, it starts feeling like a necessity.

The feeling when you grow step by step works not only in learning, but practically in almost every area of life. Not badges, not certificates, not getting a raise should be a main drive for the self-development process, then it brings true satisfaction by saying: “I did it”. That’s really all that's needed

Thanks again to the whole ZTM team. Keep up such great work on creating an amazing school with excellent courses!

ZTM helped so much, they want to gift accounts to their friends!

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Eric Philippot, and I have been a web developer since the beginning of 2025.

I primarily work with Adobe ColdFusion, building websites for contract workers, and the company I work for builds, hosts, and handles marketing for our clients. We currently manage over 150 sites, plus one Shopify site that I personally handle for code edits and consulting.

I have also been the main developer, training new staff and members of other departments who are cross-training.

You just unlocked the ZTM free lifetime access. What are your thoughts on this offer?

Bittersweet, but mainly stoked. I always wanted to support ZTM, and I do so by recommending it to everyone and by subscribing.

Now that I have the lifetime membership, which is a huge help by the way, I feel the need to gift monthly passes!

Part of the program is logging in frequently and completing lessons. Was this something you were already doing before, or something you did for this reward?

There may have been a month or two, a while back, before the offer was announced, where I skipped a month due to being overloaded, but I have always been pretty active in learning and trying to improve.

When I came to ZTM, I was originally a hobby game developer who was curious about game servers. My goal was to learn web development and then transition into backend development. Now that I have made it as a web developer, I see the game development course and want to pick that back up, lol.

I am still very passionate about backend development. I build my own servers and have a homelab with Proxmox and a bunch of website projects on them. Currently taking the Python course and getting into FastAPI as a backend framework.

Have you noticed any particular change in your skills and progress since logging in more frequently?

I would not say I have noticed anything dramatic in my skills other than gradual progression, but I will say that just logging on and doing a lesson on a continuous basis keeps your goals alive, because you are constantly reminded of what you wanted to do.

Things get in the way and we forget our aspirations in those moments of stress, but when you put yourself in an atmosphere where you aspired to be something more, it keeps the flame alive.

How has this regular learning affected your career?

It has helped a lot. The more you learn, the more solutions you have to offer. The monthly newsletters are a big help, too!

Taking these courses, reading the newsletter, and engaging with others in the field have huge benefits for solving problems. Tech has always been about learning from others, and that is why ZTM is such a valuable resource.

Would you recommend that other members try to hit this goal also?

Yes, I would. I always recommend ZTM to anyone who asks, but sticking to it on a continuous basis will keep that passion to learn alive. It is a simple thing to do, and it will remind you why you are doing it in the first place.
