Here's what happened February 2026 in our industry
I Miss Thinking Hard 🫨
Before you read this post, ask yourself a question: When was the last time you truly thought hard?
By “thinking hard,” I mean encountering a specific, difficult problem and spending multiple days just sitting with it to overcome it. You should read this article that might make you think.
An Interesting Experiment ✍️
The Claude team tasked Opus 4.6 using agent teams to build a C Compiler, and then (mostly) walked away. Here's what it taught them about the future of autonomous software development.
The Singularity will Occur on a Tuesday
An unhinged article that is hilarious, scary, and informative at the same time. Take your time and read it.
How is the Job Market Doing? 🤑
Turns out, it's not that bad. Stop listening to losers on reddit. Here is a little secret: if you're exceptional in your skills, you will always be able to solve someone's problems and get hired. Want to get hired? Be better than the average.
News Around the World 🗺
The guy that created OpenClaw is joining OpenAI. Good storyline here.
Big Tech News aka AI News 🏢
The four big cloud companies have now announced their outlooks for 2026. Between Meta, Alphabet, Microsoft and AWS they spent about $260 billion on capex in 2025 and plan close to $600 billion in 2026.
Elon Musk merged his xAI AI lab (which owns Twitter) into SpaceX, valuing xAI at $230 billion and SpaceX at $1 trillion. The combined company plans an IPO this year. That's a lot of money and good way to swallow a dying business that is Twitter.
Claude seems to be the good guy this month making 2 very ethical decisions that might not give it the best business results. Let's see how long this lasts. No ads on Claude, and a big statement for working with the US government.
Claude also announced Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6.
OpenAI announced GPT 5.3 Codex the Codex App for developers. Worth checking out. Finally, the most exciting part is the GPT‑5.3‑Codex‑Spark announcement which helps with super fast real time coding.
Qwen3-Coder-Next is also out: an open-weight language model designed specifically for coding agents and local development.
Mistral announced an exciting new product: Voxtral which transcribes at the speed of sound.
The reason that Google is probably going to win this race: Gemini 3 Deep Think: Advancing science, research and engineering. They also announced Gemini 3.1 pro.
Completely useless to your career but still great 🙃
The internet went gaga over Moltboook: A Social Network for AI Agents. Here is an interesting article describing the drama that ensued.
Best Resource of the Month ✅
This time it's different. If you're getting your opinions and thoughts, and making decisions based on Reddit, Youtube comments, X, or any other social network, it's probably time to stop and reflect. This month's Best Article, is a goodie and only 300 words. But you need to read it.
Trick of the Month 🌗

Never see an annoying youtube short again.
Stop writing CSS like it's 2015. Do this.
Micasa: A terminal UI for tracking everything about your home
