Roxanne Taku & Joana Rocha

Roxanne Taku and Joana Rocha are the co-founders of TechTalk, a UK-based organization whose mission is to make tech careers accessible to everyone.

Roxanne grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK for better opportunities. After facing countless rejections and finally landing her dream job, she was hit by the 2023 mass layoffs. Instead of giving up, she took this opportunity to refine her skills and landed offers from some of the biggest tech companies in the world like Salesforce and HubSpot

Similarly, Joana started in Brazil, where building an international career seemed impossible, especially when needing to find a company to sponsor you. Against all the odds, she moved to the UK, secured a work visa, and built her career, eventually becoming a marketing leader in the fintech industry.

This is why TechTalk was born - to educate, inspire, and equip job seekers, especially women, immigrants, and those from underrepresented backgrounds, to land their dream jobs through interactive workshops, CV and LinkedIn reviews, and career coaching.

In under a year, TechTalk has helped hundreds of people across five countries secure roles at leading companies like American Express, Mastercard, Adobe and Salesforce.
